RECENT PROJECTS:

The Bridges of Madison County
at the Signature Theatre

Laura returned to DC to musically direct this critically acclaimed production of the Jason Robert Brown musical in 2023. Peter Marks of The Washington Post praised the music direction by noting:
"Brown’s music, orchestrated here for 10 string instruments, a keyboard and percussion... revels in mid-century sound... It’s exquisitely arranged, a world inside a score. Under Laura Bergquist’s musical direction, many of the songs illuminate secret thoughts — reflections of isolated lives."

Some Enchanted Evening in  London

Laura recently returned from London, England where she served as Music Director and arranger for the Some Enchanted Evening concert event with Telly Leung, Zachary James, and Kelly Glyptis. Laura enjoyed visiting friends in the West End production of Allegiance during her time in London.
